Well, I wonder if the Monarch flight crews could be diverted to Ryanair to fix their crew shortfall?

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I think Monarch's fleet are all Airbus and Ryanair are all Boeing 737 so there would have to be a certain amount of re-training.

Having flown both Easyjet and Monach to Egypt I can say Easyjet were not a patch on Monach. Such a shame but these days people seem to prefer to save a couple of £'s rather than start there holiday in comfort.

Mt guess most of those pilots will have a new jobe by the end of the month if they want one, apparently there is a short fall of commercial airline pilots.

Think that Monarch lost a lot of business due to the terrorists hitting Egypt and Tunisia..such a shame to lose a long standing company.

Now the vultures move in like KPMG screw everyone over and take a huge fee out of the pot..

When I was travelling for work I used Easyjet quite a bit, some may remember that before budget airlines a return to Paris for example was circa £400 to £500 provided you came back on a Saturday..

Yes that is one good thing, easyjet have said they have several hundred vacancies at their bases and look forward to employing them. And monarch's engineering dept is profitable so it is still in business so a little bit more good news.

Friends of ours had their Florida holiday cancelled because of the hurricane so they went to Greece last week on Monarch

I couldn't agree more. The flight is part and parcel of the holiday and spending 3 hours cooped up on a Ryanair flight with endless offers/raffle tickets and other crass announcements in the cabin is my worst nightmare. Much rather spend a few quid more for a more pleasant experience. Monarch offered that. Many people just want the lowest possible price and you get what you pay for - the lowest level of service.

Just had an email from Monarch telling us not to go to the airport on Saturday for our flight to Malaga. Wonder why?

Here we go, blame Brexit, nothing to do with too many seats and not enough bums on them 🤔
