Hi John. Put ‘cool car’ into your browser window, and you will see Coolcaraircon. They have franchises all over the place, and I can recommend them. Just had mine done for the second time by the one in Sutton Coldfield. Very professional outfit .

R134a is being phased out and prices have increased dramatically in the last few weeks for the gas. This will obviously increase the regas cost in most places.

New gear knob:
This one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal...53.m1438.l2649 Quality isn't as good as expected. There is the aluminium sleeve and then three allen screws that hold it in place and these are like butter. So I ended up putting some silicone sealant inside and hopefully with the screws and silicone it'll stay in place.

new clutch in the MG ZT
Hi all,
after being off the road for a while, the MG ZT is now back and running with a new clutch after blowing it spectacularly in north Wales in April. Cost a bundle to do - over £500- but my mechanic fits the highest quality ones only as he's had problems with anything less. So far it seems to be going well, which is a relief as I don't want any more costly problems.... |
