Hi John. Put ‘cool car’ into your browser window, and you will see Coolcaraircon. They have franchises all over the place, and I can recommend them. Just had mine done for the second time by the one in Sutton Coldfield. Very professional outfit .

Cleaned out the front ABS sensor hole with big drill bit, fitted new genuine one from DMGRS. All apparently OK. now for road test.

Lubricated the clutch pedal to eliminate Clicky clutch pedal syndrome

What's the name of the place where you got your flip key cut?

Just as there are a couple of keys needing cut in the land of smog

Finally got the car to the mechanics and spent 7 hours battling to remove the blown engine! Still its out now, strip out the replacement one tomorrow and hopefully all ready to go on Wednesday.

Quality isn't as good as expected. There is the aluminium sleeve and then three allen screws that hold it in place and these are like butter. So I ended up putting some silicone sealant inside and hopefully with the screws and silicone it'll stay in place.

Default new clutch in the MG ZT

Hi all,
after being off the road for a while, the MG ZT is now back and running with a new clutch after blowing it spectacularly in north Wales in April. Cost a bundle to do - over £500- but my mechanic fits the highest quality ones only as he's had problems with anything less. So far it seems to be going well, which is a relief as I don't want any more costly problems....
