Default Toaf autoliv srs on XP?

I use a windows xp laptop specifically for Toaf, when needed from time to time.
However, my 05 cars don’t communicate to the srs module, and as far as I know, I need to use the separate autoliv srs program.
I see that it says the autoliv program needs windows vista (or later?)

Is there any workaround can be done to make the toaf autoliv srs program work on windows xp machine, to save me buying a separate laptop?

I doubt it mate... you can sometimes go backwards by running in Compatibility Mode, but I don't think forwards.

Upgrading to Vista not a massive pain...?

If you're prepared to give it a go, I'll help if I can...

Thanks for the offer Roger.
So, if I upgraded to vista, that would mean checking to see if TOAF would run in Compatibility mode.
Perhaps someone out there has already tried this?
If not, I’d probably just try to pick up another cheap laptop with vista, or later, already installed on it.

No no sorry, I mean I have run TOAF happily on W10/11 - if you find it runs OK on XP too, I'd be very surprised if it didn't work with Vista.

So if you need to go to Vista for the SRS Tool, then both should run OK.

You'd need to check your laptop meets the minimum hardware requirement for Vista if you consider upgrading though.

  • A modern processor (at least 800 MHz)
  • 512 MB of system memory (STRONGLY recommend 1GB, but old versions of RAM are very cheap on eBay if you need some)
  • A graphics processor that is DirectX 9 capable.
  • 20 GB of hard drive capacity with 15 GB free space.
  • CD-ROM drive.
