Default Door lock 1 and 2 presses of the key.

Possibly abit of strange one.

With my Cowley it’s got a strange little trait. When I had my tourer plug into a T4 there was an option to have the drivers door unlocking on 1 press of the key and the rest on the second.
This is where it’s a little strange on the Cowley saloon 1 press opens both fronts and the drivers rear, press it twice and it opens the passenger rear.

Is this something that can be changed on the T4 or just a strange little thing the car will do?

Thank you.

Mine does exactly the same but it's due to a weak activator nsr.

Suspect door actuator, the T4 setting you are referring to is called single point entry,I find that the speed locking option if turned on seems to kill actuators quicker if you need another actuator give us a shout

Similar problem on mine. One press for the driver's door, two for the N/S front and rear and a third for the O/S rear. Strangely enough if the battery is disconnected and then reconnected, or if it's been sitting unused for a while then the O/S rear behaves itself for a short time. I've had a replacement actuator sitting around for a while but just haven't got round to fitting it.

Kind of related but possibly not, I've noticed that the end of the rear door outer window scraper seals have a gap between themselves, the window and the door skin on both my saloon rear doors.

Surely this just lets water in for it to drip directly over the rear door lock units?
