What a pain in the you know what that turned out to be!As predicted some of the nuts were seized solid, 4 of them were captivated, the other two not, these had to be cut off with a grinder and replaced. Then couldn't get one of the bolts to bite in the captivated nut, no matter what we did, so ended up drilling the thread out and fitting a nut and washer instead.Next came the wiring, again a PITA, the harness to the light cluster had hardly any room to manoeuvre,as a result, each time I got one connector attached, another one came apart. Started at 11.30,didnt finish until 4.45 Next on the list is replace the towing socket, and a length of the 7 core, as its frayed in several places. Then swap over the door mirrors and wheels, as his has better tyres on than mine. After that I get my new van next Friday.

Well done Richard, removing a long fitted towbar is a pain, I have done a few and they are always horrid.

A captive nut sheared off once on a 75 I was removing the towbar on, I had to get the welder out and tack it back onto the bracket, not normally a problem but access inside the chassis leg was a little tight to say the least.

Good morning all, It's a damp blustery morning out there.

I think I'd better make the camp kommandant some breakfast in bed as it's our 45th wedding anniversary today.
This time 45 years ago we went to Blackpool after the wedding & it was freezing with sleet showers.
