I drive with my central locking on. I twice experienced this on occasions where I had a passenger. If when I parked-up the passenger attempted to open the door at precisely the same time that I was unlocking the doors with the central locking switch then the interior lighting control system because 'confused' and an interior light remained switched-on after walking away and having centrally locked using the key fob.

It took me many months to discover this.

Ok so this could be an issue too? Not sure though?
My passenger door has a problem where it doesn't unlock anymore, something on my to do list. Anyway it is usually locked as it doesn't unlock with the key and if it is unlocked by hand when I lock the car it will still lock with the central locking. Anyway I noticed that the passenger door was unlocked last night and I can't lock it at all! The lock will not push down.
All the other doors were locked when I came to the car and I know I locked it with the key. And as I said even if the passenger door was unlocked, it would normally lock with the central locking.
I haven't even had any passengers for me to unlock it so why it was unlocked I don't know?

Re the boot rack you were after

I called in and asked these

Abingdon mg parts ltd

991 Wolverhampton road

Oldbury

But they were unable to say as to whether the mg boot racks were the same as the rover ones

:icon_mrgreen::icon_mrgreen:

Just gave these a call and I don't think they have the rack I'm looking for. They only have them for the mgs not mg zt just the older ones, they have nothing with the matching part number either and I think what racks they have are mainly after market. Absolutely gutted! Thanks for looking out though!

Yeah I think it has too and it seems quite a common thing but I've seen how to's on how to repair, just haven't had the time!

Hello Nathan,

I think that people are possibly being a bit hasty condemning your battery. First of all the 75/ZT will often behave like this when the battery reaches a certain level of discharge, It has happened to me too. So all you need to do is to charge it! Buy a C-tek charger, not a new battery.
