hi i just fitted new maff car has a lot more grunt this is good.
problem is now if i floor it in 1st or 2nd clutch slips a bit would
this be cured by bleeding or is it new clutch time

Thanks Mickyjd. Glad to be of help. I hope it goes well.

Phil, as for your problem.... it's a new clutch unfortunately. Keeping the power off will nurse it through for a little while until you can get it changed.

Default I have a question

What is the reason for such a stiff clutch pedal? I looked today at a 75 with a stiff action,,would just a new master cyd fix the stiffness,, I,v never had a CAR with an action as stiff as this .I once drove a Leyland hippo with an action much the same... Sorry for bringing this thread back fromthe dead..

No,the stiffness is not an hydraulic prob,but related to the diaphram springs !

the aftermarket's are a lot softer than the genuine one

I had same problem with gear change and reverse after having both cylinders changed. Car went back to garage where they bled system No problem since.

Same thing,little bleeding obliged every hundred's of miles ..

I can't find the tiny air ingress ...

Do you know the make ?
