Guys this is a fantastic response! I only posted earlier today and look at the responses already

Thank you

No one has actually confirmed I have listed the correct procedure - but as no one has contradicted me either I will do the British think and "carry on regardless"

A friend of mine is going to help with the cruise control and fitting a Bluetooth radio complete with steering wheel ice button functionality.

Anyone know the part number for the fly lead or patch cable for a kenwood head unit to steering wheel control buttons?

The man on the phone to the stereo supplier said there are 4 options !

Cheers again guys

Hi there I have the same rover as yours and the wiring was all there so was easy to do the only thing I have not read is you will have to cut the back of the steering wheel so they match each side so the steering wheel controls city if you do a search on here it's all there on what to do good luck

Default Cruise control without the main switch !!

So suppose I,m a newbie (but I,m sixty this year so maybe an oldbie) anyway ,I have just bought my 75 tourer conny,,,its got CC switches on the wheel but no main switch on the dash so its not working..Why is that? To get it working I suppose I just have to buy and fit a main...I wonder if I need to get another ECU as well !!!! any help please

No way of knowing without taking a look see. It may be that someone changed the steering wheel in the past and the new one just happens to have the switches (most likely imo).
