Default Yet another water ingress question

I know there is probably a thread on the forum covering this but I have searched and cannot seem to find one that covers my problem. I opened the Tourer tail gate this morning, and was going to put something in the small recess on the left side of the car. Low and behold it is soaking wet. The right hand side is bone dry. I haven't had chance to have a good luck round yet as to where it might be coming from. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

thanks

John

Rear light seals, rear wing trim clips behind the carpet.

Wink

If it's a tourer I would seal underneath the roof rails. That stopped mine leaking in that area.

hi
mines the same it also drips onto the pull out luggage cover, its got water stains on it. As far as I remember there are no seals on the rear tourer lights. I intend to sort it in the summer. I hate leaks into cars!

Default Water ingress

I had similar issue and it was via the external horizontal trim clip holes. I used Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure. Alternatively try to access internally and seal with silicone sealer.

I suppose the sources already mentioned are the most likely but one thing not raised yet is sun roof - do you have one?

If so, the rear nearside one (of four drains) blocking up could be the cause. It seems to be more often the front two that are an issue so a bit of a long shot that that one would cause problems but not the fronts.
