Rear Damper identification
Dear All,
Does any one know the correct part number/letter designation for the rear dampers on a 75 conny CDTI diesel saloon on a 54 plate? I know there is supposed to be a sticker under the rear seat, but I am working away, so cannot get to it. I want to be able to order them so that I can fit them in the limited time I have when I get back. I also had issues with a previous 75 getting the seat out. I never want to do an intank pump again, not because of the pump, but the seat removal. I know the gurus here have no problem with that, but some can probably walk on water too! Best wishes, Frank |

Dear 75driver,
thanks for the reply and photo. Is your new baby a facelift like mine? This car is on a 54 plate and knowing how Rover rang the changes over the years, a date for the G shocks might be useful. Best wishes, Frank |

Hi frank, the label shown is for a mark 1, but it has no rear anti-roll bar. Mine is 03. I have a photo somewhere of my other 05 diesel saloon label, but for the life of me, can’t find it yet. May have to resort to searching work pc tomorrow.🤓 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rear Shocks
Dear 75driver,
many thanks for the reply. If you can find the photo of your 05 diesel dampers it would be of very great use to me. I am still stuck on site in parts foreign, so looking at my car is not an option. Even internet access is not great, especially with the hours we do here and time differences. Best wishes, Frank |

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner frank. The only other photo of the “spring label” I could find was of the tourer. Tomorrow I’ll see if I can find the original struts from the facelift saloon, or, take another photo of the label on that car. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Dear 75 driver,
thanks for the photo and damper identification. I have just got home, so can now check the dampers quickly at least. The dampers have a label showing AK, which is puzzling me a bit. I need to get some more knowledge before I get the replacement dampers methinks! Best wishes, Frank B |

I’ve just bought some rear springs and dampers, following the info on this thread.
