SDB000020 is visible on the disc in the pic but it isn't as part number that appears in the MGR catalogue for any ZT or 75 though the listed rear disc numbers do begin SDB.
Same with SDB000810 - not listed for front discs but again SDB is the first three letters for those listed. How peculiar - I'm sure there is an answer.................. Mike

I also checked EPC and the entire MGR range back to 400/600/800 series and cannot find those numbers anywhere at present using the MG Rover Trade Parts Manual. As you say cannot fathom out at moment. |

Hi, I kinda have the same problem with the brake discs.
Mine is a 2003 MG ZTT and orderd a front&rear disc+pads kit original Rover/MG. Got a call from my garage that both front and rear discs didnt fit. Front disc is bigger (32cm)in diametre then the original (28.2cm). My supplier has the small one too sp that is probably just a swap. The new rear ones SDB000010 apperently didnt fit properly??? We checked the old one and it has a nr SDB000020. My supplier couldnt find this nr anywhere, I couldnt either untill this thread. Anybody knows more anout this? Btw, mine are vented reardiscs. |

Its often that the service part number is different to the production one as they may come as spares in a slightly different condition , coating or something like that or often if its a casting it could be the casting number if moulded in.

Thanks for your reply.
The reardiscs are the Original ones as it came from the factory (not bad on 174.000km). Theyve never been changed but do have the SDB000020 nr on them. Cant find them anywhere so were now fitting the SDB000010's lathough they do need a slight grinding on the big hole in the middle as the discs didnt straight fit to the hub, why? not a clue! Now waiting for the smaller frontdiscs. To my supplier its a "special" car as usualy the rule is when vented discs at the rear you have big (32,2) discs at the front. Mine is different, so is its boss. |

Mine is actualy a 180 as its an automatic, dont know if the theory is that get smaller frontdiscs when your run a automatic?
If was googling on the partnr SDB000020 to find any info on it as my supplier said it wasnt in his computer. And the only reference to that partnr on the whole world wide web was on this 2007 thread... Still havent solved th mystery on that particulair partnr but atleast I now know im not the only one with that partnr... Someone from the factory could probably explain it... a testbatch? We will probably never know |
