Default Seat interchangeability

I have manual summit seats in my ZTT with airbags on them. I知 looking to change them, but most of what I see and like are electric. Is it possible to either quickly wire up the adjusters from an ignition feed, and sort the heaters later on, forget about the memory function for now (no pun intended) - but will the airbags show a fault?
Or alternatively is it possible to swap the squabs and backs on to a manual base/runner?
I really liked the seats in my Midsomer car hence looking for them. I知 also wondering if there are green leather seats out there?

I went from manual seats to electric no problems, all electric functions on the seats worked as well as the heated seats.

Have you checked under your front seats for a large black plug? You may have the wiring already there for electric heated memory seats.

If not then the wiring can be retrofitted. I wrote up a guide on this a few years back here: https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=253123

And yes you can swap the seat covers over. Have done this a few times to convert manual seats to electric heated ones. A bit of a pain and time consuming job to do but can be done.

I知 happy to live without the motors, but would like the heaters. I値l look under the seat tomorrow and see what痴 there. My mot is due in feb so need the adjustment working for that.

Err . . . . how do you plan to adjust the seat, even setting them up initially, without the motors, there's no manual adjustment on them

What I meant was either wire the motors in or swap the leather parts onto the manual base..

OK, you might be lucky and find the connectors are there. 2004 is kinda on the border for when they started chopping bits.

I don稚 get much luck but I知 happy dealing with electrical stuff, if I can just find a way of ignition feeding the seats for adjustment and heating I値l be chuffed. The seats I知 looking at are over 100 miles away so just prepping. I wish I壇 bought the tourer that was for sale locally for the bits!

Hi Steve, does that mean that pre 2004 cars have a bigger chance of the wiring already being there?

My ZTT is from 2003, so I might be lucky on the wiring already being there?
