No, at least I haven't seen any means of adjustment.

Default Wheres Fadows...

We seem to be going off track here...

The OP, at a minimum, need to fix the low speed fan so Fadows if you can let us know if it's a three speed or two speed then somebody on here will be able to help you begin to resolve the problem.

Not sure on the actual trigger point on the V6 but i would expect your low speed fan to trigger about 103/104/105 and bring it down into the 90's.

Have you done the demist test to see if your low speed fan is working ?
The gauge will stay on normal for anything between 75 and 115. It is totally useless to give any warning, before you are seriously into an event.

Martin (Fadows) is regularly visiting his thread Paul, most recently yesterday evening but his problems are more than a faulty fan.
  • He reports that the fan previously made a horrible whining noise. This could be loose fan blades or a motor brush holder contacting the commutator.
  • He has seen oil in the coolant.
  • Martin relies upon his garage for repairs. They have declined this job.
  • He lives in deepest Cornwall.

If any experienced KV6 members in the area can offer some practical assistance, that may be what's needed. Am I wide of the mark Martin?

Hi there, it looks like a three speed going by your description, but the weather has been lousy so no chance of getting the front end off yet. I think I will see if I can get her to St. Agnes.

I'm going to get some money together and contact the specialist in St. Agnes and get her transported over there, I reckon the fan does not come on and because of this it didn't cool the engine and now I have a head gasket fault.
