Just had the mechanic on the blower... one cable actually broken.


Have emailed DMGRS to check I'm ordering the right version...



Actually... could somebody please check for me? I think there may only be one version (it's just that he quotes 4 part numbers).


Mine is a late '54 facelift, so I'm guessing the later part

He's complicating matters slightly, showing the original part number and the part numbers that superseded the originals. There is only one set.

John was busy and tearing about as usual, but I think what he said was that the outer cable had broken, and it was moving with the inner.


Weird thing is, although there's more play in the gear lever now, I actually prefer the feel of it this way

Whilst your mechanic is in there, did you not consider having them both done?

Sorry, yes, the cables some in a pair, which is what he'll be fitting.
