Cool 1.8t engine wanted.

I’m looking for a 1.8t engine. Preferably in working condition.

Oh no Bob, that's not good news. What's the issue with Bananas?

I’m just after an engine for when it is needed. Banana is still with the garage.

Phew!! Actually, that's not a bad idea if you've got the space

That's a good bit of strategic thinking / planning, Bob.

However, let's hope that it goes into, and then stays, in mothballs.

Regards

Mike

You just missed out on the one Gary (Lovel) sold recently. It was like new. Rebuilt from scratch.

Repair what you've got would be my advice Bob.
Second-hand engines are highly risky and storing them until needed just adds to the potential problems.

Bob, don't ignore the whole working vehicles, if you have somewhere to store and "play" with it. There are quite a few MOT failures out there.
Certainly an interesting project..

The plan is to have the spare engine rebuilt along with the gearbox. I have loads of storage space. Once I have sold the Bear then I'll buy a complete 1.8t.
