My local MP was David Amess. I met him once or twice, my business was directly opposite his offices. He came in once or twice for a brief chat. Charming gentleman, always with a gentle hand and outgoing nature. We were lucky to have him. I'm sure there must be others in similar vein.
The trouble lies with a small percentage of blaggards that are only interested in projecting themselves for personal gain or live in a self-aggrandised bubble of their own wonderfulness. In short, typical of some of the rest of the population. Unfortunately, that's life. Luckily most of the voters can tell the difference.

It appears the people are not happy with who, or who hasn't, received a fine. It also appears that no matter what Gray's report says the same people will not be happy with what it says.
That's according to an unnamed source familiar with the report. So a deniable whitewash then. |

There's so many of them Gary. I wonder if anyone else gets the merest impression that those concerned are hoping against hope for another crisis to burst so the attention is taken away from certain events.
The scope and range of divisive and diversionary outbursts are many and manufactured. Like all this hoo-ha about monkey pox. On the TV news/radio/online, it's everywhere. The number of confirmed cases? Nine. I wanna get off.

More our perfidious press have decided to publish the antics of our nefarious pm. Someone has sat on this "story" for some 18 months.
Meanwhile the proletariats are possibly apoplectic on the HYS. Not sure who are the more abhorrent. Our leaders or the press. Just wish he would go, one way or the other. But somehow doubt it will happen. Stop the world I want to get off. |

How can BoJo get on with the business of leading a government with partygate and the commons enquiry into whether he mislead partliament going on and on? Unfortunately this is what BoJo is all about, hes a one off, normal rules and conventions dont apply to him. BoJo and his like minded brexiteers have taken over the Tory party, it is really now the Brexit party. I feel sorry for many of the loyal traditional tory voters who are unhappy with a PM who is lacking in integrity and who has touble with the truth. Eventually he will go and the Tory party will try and move on, but who will replace him, there seems to be a vacuum of talent in government. The best of a poor lot is probably J. HUNT, who like Starmer has zero karisma but would be a steady hand. These last few years i think will go down as a dark age in our politics.

Since he came to prominence he's been the centre of attention for all the wrong reasons. His political enemies, and there are countless, are devoid of any workable policies so simply focus on his and here's the thing. He's a fighter, a playground scrapper. He will not back down.
This whole sorry state of affairs is damaging the country and is bringing its reputation into disrepute. Everything we do seems to be going wrong. Brexit, Covid, Afghanistan, Ukraine, the economy, devolution. NHS. The list is endless. If ever we needed someone to unit the country now is the time. Starmer? Don't think he's got what it takes. Hunt? God help the NHS if he's in charge. I'm glad I'm old. |

BoJo brings it upon himself, his enemies dont have to look hard for evidence of rule breaking. IMO he should never have become a politician. For me honesty and integrity are everything, my local MP was at one time Rory Stewart, a good tory in my book, shame he didnt become Tory leader.

Truth and honour aside just for the moment, a circus that allows the clown to be the ringmaster is fated to a short run. The next vote will be against the clown and the new leader, given those who will throw their hats into the ring, will also not be up to the job. We are well and truly in a state.
Back to truth and honour, if any can be found. It's got precisely nowt to do with any kind of relationship with any outside 'markets' or those supporters of it. We can safely leave that diversionary spite out of the mix. See, you can leave the word out. No need to muddy any waters.
