Er, possibly because we are a captive target? With the demise of grocery/general stores in 'high streets', department stores in town centres and the related growth of out-of-town malls?
The growth of the EV market is a sign of an increasingly shrinking wet fuel business and also, not entirely unexpected, shrinkage of future needs and therefore profits from liquid fuel. Expect to see more gloomy news from oil producing countries as growth of new trends becomes faster than a speeding car. 1st law of economics: follow the market. Not long before the liquid fuel market, curiously, is about as big as the 'classic car' movement. Also, possibly a major shift in global relevance and importance of the Gulf States.

I thought it was because vehicle owners are easy targets. 31.9 million vehicles in uk that just carnt give them up for what ever reason. These owners no doubt went work all th way through covid, i know i did and so did everyone else i know. These went on to keep th country going and are now asked to cover th cost. Its good that these slaves are willing isnt it and "Musunt grumble" ... So... Who is letting this happen??? and what are they going to do about it.? May be going down th pub and discussing it at great length might help...
Bo jo is going to level everything up so everything will be ok.. Wont it???

OK I brimmed it, but when I went to pay and the attendant said Pump 6, that's £10.98, I nealy fainted... Err, yeah, err I guess it is!

Hot pursuits across the pond are getting too expensive with the high cost of petrol Some police forces have almost used up their annual fuel budget with months to go before another annual budget.
Sheriff Beauford T Justice would not be amused

I think the XF will need filling up next week.
It always gets filled with V-Power. Not looking forward to it! As we drive so little these days, I may just go for half a tankfull.

Filled up an Audi at BP yesterday in Finchampstead with diesel at 183 and topped up in Bristol at Sainsbury at 188, quite a difference.

Thank you for asking, Phil. I enjoy driving them all, even the little Corsa. If only one could stay and I had to choose, it would have to be the XF. The styling, build quality, refinement and performance form such a large V6 engine are just breathtaking. I recently did a night-time run to/from Stansted airport at a relaxed 60MPH whilst listening to classical music. The engine revved at about 1350 RPM all the way and returned 54MPG. This is higher than all the others in the fleet.

Seems the UK has fuel to spare and is sending billions of litres to the USA each month https://ampvideo.bnnbloomberg.ca/uk-...aper-1.1776643
