Morning all, What a grey day with rain expected later. 1st of the month & need to get some gas/electric meter readings because I don't trust these lot (octopus) with meter readings. Low & behold the reading for last month bears no resemblance to my actual electric meter reading ....again If I submit my reading with their wrong reading it would mean I've submitted a reading that cost more for the month of May than all of 2021 & part of 2020 I give up.

Morning folks, welcome to the day

A good experience yesterday at Bristol airport and no wheelchair needed. Everything worked okay, the taxi driver who collected us was from the Ukraine who had a lot to say about what is going on over there, what he said was educational. Nice chap who had set up his own taxi company.

A long way to collect a new passport, the world has gone nut!

The flight left on time. Because we had no luggage, arrivals in Belfast only took us 10 minutes from the plane to the other side plus a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Dinner in the hotel: Jessica had Cajun chicken with Peri Peri sauce and I had salmon fillet. We have a nice room with all of the comforts, a welcomed treat.

Our apologies Andy, we won’t be able to make the memorial for Deb.

Gawd n Bennett! Trying to explain over the phone that their electric meter readings do not tally whatsoever with our smart meter readings, They finally realised that our meter is still on AVRO energy readings , They in their infinite wisdom changed the readings on the 1st April when the Cap was lifted but never told us or changed the readings.

They now say that they I don't need to submit anymore readings & they will bill us with their meter readings which doesn't allow me to check if they're correct If I'd have submitted that reading this morning they would have billed us 2486kWh just for the month of June

I have no confidence in them sorting this out or how much have we been overcharged since the 1st April

No need to apologise Phil, you have plenty going on at the moment, take care and hopefully we can catch up soon.

Morning. 5am rise this morning, went back to bed but as usual just dosed for a while. Nothing in particular day here, cloudy, wee bit cool but I prefer that to baking sun.

Got the bird feeders to clean. I've let them both empty, better get them cleaned and refilled before I get the birds tapping on the window.

Bird feeders cleaned . . . . minging, wee bugs creeping about in the decomposing seeds trapped in the bottom! Need some shopping but better make a move soon, 60-70+% chance of rain mid afternoon.
