Been doing a load of laundry this morning & just been outside to peg it out barefoot & come back in sharpish for some shoes No use to man nor beast this weather & only fit for drying washing in under ten minutes .

Now 38° side of the cottage has always been a serious sun trap, According to several weather websites the current air temp in the Edinburgh area is 30-31°. Even the birds at the feeders are few and far between.

Can't even sit under the parasol, can feel the reflected heat off the wall on my back.

Nothing untoward on the scan or X-ray so no abdominal blockage which is great news as no gut surgery needed.

Hopefully I'll get a call mid-morning after they've done their "rounds" and she's OK to be discharged.

Thanks for all your support - much appreciated, my friends .
Fantastic news Andy

Our old girl (19) Fliss in a nice cool spot earlier today.

Fliss by Jeff Cranwell, on Flickr

She's not daft. Picked the room with the A/C on

Spoke too soon .

Quizzie is staying in hospital.

She's on methadone AND lignocaine and they can't find the cause of the pain .

CT scan booked for tomorrow.

Fingers crossed and it feels very strange here - no golden foot warmer as I type this and no big "I'm hungry" eyes despite being fed not very long ago at all.

I'll update tomorrow.

Feeling very empty now.

Morning all,

Well, that wasn't the most comfortable of nights sleep.

A/C is fine but running it through the night is a trade off between being cool but kept awake by the noise!

Positive thoughts that you get some good news about Quizzie today Andy.

Cool

Morning everyone.

The advantage of living at the top of a hill is that you get a nice breeze during the night which helps me sleep.

Hoping to meet my niece today, she is on holiday in Carbis Bay.
