Default Just bought an OEM door actuator

As my driver's door fails to unlock remotely I thought it unwise to buy a used actuator - though cheap - as all of them obviously will have had at least 15+ years wear. So I bit the bullet and bought a new one off eBay from MGRover Parts. (£104). I thought well it can't really be a genuine OEM but on close examination I see the date stamp 14.09.2007/02.24. So it really has been sitting on a shelf somewhere for 15 years. Amazing.

I made the same choice. Fitting the actuator was fiddly, but I managed it OK.
Just take your time. Photos help with re-assembly plus of course the useful info from all over the forum.
