Had bother getting biccies for the girls Didn't want to go far with iffy guts so went to the nearby Coop, none, went along to B&M, all they had was the larger stuff which they're not 100% keen on, bit big for them or some smaller Paul O'Grady branded stuff I've never seen before. See what they think of it.

When I got back I set up the ladder, hedge trimmer etc to finish off doing the ivy. Have a coffee before I start, into the kitchen to discover a wee Coal T1t fluttering around. No idea how it got in, there's an anti fly net curtain at the back door. Hell of a job getting it out, tended to stay up around ceiling level. Eventually persuaded it out the door again.

Thank God that's the ivy trimmed. This lack of energy is wearing to say the least, I'm knackered , up and down the ladder umpteen times and swinging the heavy trimmer around at arm's length to do the top. Nearly landed in a heap at one point, trying to climb the ladder without the base being far enough out in a tight space, had to move it along a bit and reach across. Suzy didn't like me being up the ladder, either watching like a hawk from the path or sitting at the bottom crying.

Ladder and trimmer away, girls fed, they like the Paul O'Grady biccies , having a rest and coffee now then a shower. Clearing up the clippings can wait til tomorrow.

Cool

Evening everyone. Wall to wall blue sky all day. Done my best gardening but I had to keep stopping to take on some Adam’s Ale. But got a lot of weeding done. Replanted a few plants.

Nice chicken salad for dinner and dessert was the last of my strawberries.

The raspberry cane is over 4 foot tall and has loads of flowers on.

Might have a beer or two this evening.

I remember the "family" tour of Cornwall In a late 1930's Ford 8. Family of four, dog, tent, food and dad's usual hundredweight of ex-army spanners. As you say, stunning scenery throughout. We got washed out one night and ended up sleeping in the farmer's house in the kitchen! (Mrs Farmer must have felt sorry for us!) Fresh bacon, eggs and bread for breakfast and a big cuddle from the farmer's wife! ( I was only 7 at the time!) A boat trip around Sennen Cove and we caught 13 mackerel on "spinners". That was afternoon tea sorted! Enjoy.

Morning folks,

Car tyre inflators? Cordless digital rechargeable? or cheapo analogue?

When I passed on my Rover 75 S reg, the cheapo tyre inflator compressor was in the boot and went with it.

So now looking for a replacement car tyre pump. Thought I would check the tyres yesterday, 3 garages I went to, all of the air machines were out of order: BP, Shell and Sainsbury. Was it the hot weather or something?

This afternoon we are having our Covid vaccination certificates validated by the NHS as the shots were done outside of England. Then an afternoon walk, nothing very exciting.
