So on Friday, I commenced the hub extraction which despite one completely stripped torx slide pin and one completely rounded carrier bolt, succeeded. The hub slid off beautifully which saved the anticipated grief. You can see the state of the reluctor in the pic below.

The backplate was also in a right state so a quick 15-minute trip to Rimmers for a new one with the brake kit took care of that. The handbrake ferrule was completely rusted and a PITA to cut free. David Lawrence's good How-To (https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...4&d=1398099788) was useful so thanks to him for that.

New backplate's on, new handbrake kit's adjusted and working, and the new hub's on and tests correctly with the meter. Just the brakes to finish.

Then I went out for an evening family birthday celebration and became the latest member to succumb to a merciless D&V bug. 48 hrs later, I've made it downstairs for the cup final. I'm hoping I'll be able to finish it tomorrow.

Dougie.

Hi Dougie.
Are you doing both sides ? also you can just about see the segments, on the rings from your photo, which gives owners a good idea of how they work when doing the test.

I normally change pairs but I'm not on this occasion due to logistics at this end.

Dougie.
