Well. last night's rain soaked everything but had virtually dried up by this morning. I'm not sure whether to get the hedge trimmer out or not, occasional spot of rain in the breeze. Hell of a forecast for later, heavy, thundery showers and something about Noah phoning the RNLI.

It's chucking it down here again & just noticed I left the garage side door open , Wet in there now. Just having a break from driving trains (8F) , Those unfitted wagons (15 wagons) are a PITA
Stopped at a red signal on a downhill slope then had to set points & reverse the train up into Speke sidings, Chucking it down in this scenario too . Sander on, brakes off, a bit of regulator & slide forward unable to stop it or slow it down through a red signal , SPAD Couldn't do nowt about it

We had a case of a driver took replacement locos to a coal train in Townhill loop over in Fife. He went onto the train but because he had a pair and the original was a single he was outside the signal (and unbeknown to him) right on the track circuit insulating joint. Attempting to shove the train back inside the signal he dropped onto the track circuit ahead of the signal a couple of times. Halfwits at Network Rail wanted him charged with two SPADs and it had to be investigated. Needless to say there was no case to answer.

So far the biblical rain threatened hasn't appeared . . . . in saying that the breeze has suddenly and completely vanished.
