Default Rover 75 Bonnet shut cant open...

Are there any links on here how to open the bonnet ???

Looks like the cable has come off....any ideas

personally i think it's about time that an how with full photos on how to deal with this is allowed to be posted, i can not think of one at the moment unless i am mistaken.

Had same probkem. Cable end snapped at front. Managed to get instruments through grill to release eventually. Long frustrating task! Lesson learnt, pull lever in car slowly, Don t force it. Repaired end no probs.

Default Help!

I have had to abandon car after hose fail and all coolant loss as bonnet release failed/snapped!
Can anyone suggest a fix please? Will RAC bloke know?

As Arctic has said earlier there should be a how to guide shown on here, If you send Arctic a pm he might have some excellent pictures to show you, but basically remove wheel arch access panel drivers side and get the cables through the gap

Hi Dave.
There is now but in the subscribed section, really it should be in the general section, i doubt any scally wants to take part of these old Rovers, and if they did they most likely know a quick and easier way to open the bonnet, like smashing the front drivers window
