Well, I took the bumper off this afternoon. It took a bit more than 15 minutes, as the five torx screws were a bit troublesome. One in particular was quite rusty and rounded.

I recently treated myself to a 'damaged nut/bolt remover' set, which came in handy for the rounded screw.

There is no trace of the original sensors or wiring behind the bumper.

I had a look in the RH boot cubby and found an aftermarket parking sensor module.

I ran out of time today, so tomorrow I'll take out the CD changer and see what's left of the PDC module, if anything.

Yes, I think so.

The current set-up seems to work OK, although one of the sensors was unplugged.

I don’t know if there is any benefit to the OE set-up. Does it have any visual warning, or is it just audible?

I guess I just need to stop the long beep and I’ll be happy.

Dave just audible, long beep could be one of the wires wet or even one of the sensors, try swapping them about see if it make any difference

The long beep is from the OE system, which doesn’t have any sensors attached, so I’m guessing that I either need to disconnect the PDC module, or maybe it needs T4 to tell it that it doesn’t have PDC?

Hi Steve

I located the PDC module this afternoon. It still had both plugs in it. I'm not sure where the sensor wiring goes to - it may have been chopped off. I will have to have another look next time the bumper is off, which will be when I get round to fitting the towbar.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I unplugged the PDC module and I'm no longer getting the error beep, so we have a result.

While I was in there, I took the opportunity to fit a hose connector to the sunroof drain, although it was still intact.

In your photos, there's another module under the CD changer. Just wondering what it is, as I don't have one?
