Dear me! It's a scorcher here & I've got shorts on not a pretty sight, Not those with the sand paper swimming shorts lining , I've only been out to the greenhouses to collect a box full of ripe tomatoes & it's way too hot for this lad I got two big packs of Spanish Chorizo sausages on the reduced shelf in ASDA yesterday for a third of the price , Bootiful stuff not too spicy so I'm making a big batch of tomato/red bell pepper/garlic & sliced chorizo pasta sauces for the freezer

Going to be tinned salmon salad for tea tonight though, Also using up some opened bags of flour to make some fresh bread in the breadmaker, I'll make some garlic bread too ready for the pasta meals. Cold Henry time me thinks.

Afternoon all.

Seriously hot here too.

Walked into town this morning to get fresh supplies of special treats for the furry four legged one from the guy on the market. He does loads of stuff Quizzie finds irresistible - then again if it goes in her mouth it's irresistible.

Unfortunately, although Tuesday is market day - no pet man.

Oh well, at least Quizzie got her river swimming up to date - several times

Looks like a return journey on Friday.

Take care everyone.

Maya loves water, Suzy actually jumped into Lake Windermere trying to catch a duck! Poppy . . . . nah, not going in there. She's like Milka, the Poodle we used to have. Poodles are supposed to be water dogs but it was never in his job description. We were at a Loch up north, Ging waded out to about knee depth and dropped Milka in the water. He immediately swam back to shore, shook himself, looked at Ging over his shoulder . . . . if looks could kill there would have been ashes floating on the water

Suzy after her duck hunting attempt at Windermere.

Not completely.

Looks like a proper pork pie to me .

Don't know if it's real butter on the bread

That's a supermarket special not a real pork pie. Every time Ging goes to see her friends in Windermere I get her to bring a couple of pork pies back from a butcher on the main street, best pork pies I've ever had.
