Still no rain here. Been a humid day. Might just have a wee malt this evening.

Evening all, hoping everyone's well. Rained a bit round my area today, enough to be able to smell it on the pavement which is nice as I love that smell. Hoping for a proper thunderstorm soon, as yesterday my laptop kept telling me there were going to be some, but clearly not round here!

Still no rain here in the Far East (of England) and currently bathed in sunshine. Got stung by a wasp yesterday, so it must still be summer! (Don't sit under oak trees).

Morning, wishing down here. Bleedin' hungry but not allowed to eat yet, along to the GP's for a blood test the back of nine.Hate wasps with a vengeance! When I was younger I had the dogs out and they must have disturbed a nest, I suddenly had a cloud of wasps around me, stung 6-7 times.

Good morning chaps and chapesses. My first post on here on a serious (at least to me) matter. I was in the shower and our landline came on, Celia lifted the phone and the message was:
‘you have authorised a payment of ..... (amount specified) .....from your bank, with a further amount of..... (amount specified).... If you have authorised this please press 1 on your dial’. Celia put the phone down, by which time I was out of the shower. She said what the call was about and I was just on the point of dialling the 1471 to get the number when I realised the first digit in that number was what ‘they’ wanted! Did not make that mistake. Called the bank and they said they had had several calls along the same lines and their fraud section was on it. Watch out.

If I don't recognise the number the answering machine gets it.
Blood test done. Called into Lidl on the way back, primarily to get some of Poppy's favourite chews . . . . didn't have any, neither did the other local Lidl. Pops ain't gonna be happy, they're about the only chews she'll eat. If you offer her something she doesn't like she just looks at you and walks away in the huff. |

Afternoon all.
Cooler and still dry here. Rain due late afternoon . Quizzie has been out with her best friends - Bertie & Bridget - this morning. They haven't seen each other for a fair while and proper bonkers were they all . Steve - what you need is a Quizzie. It goes like this.......Does it go in my mouth? Yes? . Then I'll eat it . Good luck with finding some appropriate treats soon. Our local Lidl has been very short of those sorts of things for quite a while now and they don't know when stocks may be coming in. Oh, and if you don't like wasps we've got Hornets. Raises the "not nice and avoid" bar by a significant amount. Mind you their nests are an absolute marvel. Ian - Can't wait to see the photo of where you have hormone implant . Good luck with it mate. Take care everyone. |
