Smile New message centre display!

After viewing (for at least the last five years) an ever-worsening pixellated message centre display - which resembled illegible spider tracks - I'm overjoyed and pleased to report that a pleasant visit to Klarzy on Sunday resulted in a new soldered-in display, which is bright, sharp and a pleasure to behold!

This is a clear demonstration of the resourcefulness of club members who have worked hard and tirelessly to achieve something that is unavailable elsewhere. My only other option would have been a replacement IPK (instrument binnacle) for over £600. Cluster Repairs had twice previously attempted repairs unsuccessfully.

Well done Peter!

Lonely days are long
Twilight sings a song
All the happiness that used to be

Soon my eyes will close
Soon I'll find repose
And in dreams, you're always near to me

I'll see you in my dreams
And then I'll hold you in my dreams

My display is completely blank after a failed attempt at repair. After opening the dials and locating the Mylar ribbon cable it disintegrated in my fingers! How much would a new display cost? I would be soldering it in myself.

I'm still wanting the delined one we spoke about earlier in the week if you still have it. My week of rest days was anything but, and I totally forgot to get back to you!
