Thank you Katie. I, like many on here, enjoyed your father's company every time we met, and wanted to attend his funeral. Unfortunately I am working away that week, but I will watch on the weblink and raise a glass to Peter.

The car park of the Sports Club to the Crem may be a bit far for some to walk, but there is generally plenty of parking space.
There are quite a lot of mourners expected especially family. The time to attend is 10.45a.m. as there may be some need to move people around.

PARKING I have spoken with The Clubhouse and they are happy for us to leave cars there, to walk to the Crematorium, and return, as they say it's only a few minutes. A reminder also that we can use The Clubhouse prior to the service for refreshments, and to "freshen up".

A further reminder that Peter's funeral will be well attended and mourners will be guided by Crematorium staff as to seating.
Bearing in mind that we here are a Car Club, Peter did enjoy and participated very recently in cycling, so some mourners will require more room.
Colourful smart casual is the suggested attire.

Default Reminder

.Tuesday 30th August 2022 at 10.45 a.m.
Breakspear Crematorium, West Chapel HA4 7SJ

No Flowers but donations to a Cancer Charity to be named on the day.

Attire colourful, smart-casual "Peter hated wearing a suit!"

Sheila and the family have extended an invitation for us to attend afterwards, The Clubhouse Ruislip, Middlesex Stadium, HA4 7SB. For those travelling some distance, the Clubhouse will be available for teas/coffee or to use facilities, before the event.

The Sports Club is only about 300 yards from the Crem. and has a large car park. We can park in this car park and walk to and from the Crematorium.

Peter was a lovely bloke and so welcoming and keen to help fellow owners. He was kind and had time for everyone. One of the nicest people I've ever met. At every meeting I attended he'd greet you with a handshake like a vice! The first time I met him he asked to see my engine bay and without hesitation fitted a leaf catcher to either side of my car to protect the plenum drain tubes. My thought are with his family.

With a great mix of emotions, that was a nice send off. Some lovely stories and tributes and bravery of Peter's sister Mary and his daughters Sian and Katie in addressing us all, whilst dealing with their own feelings.
Sheila and The Girls, thanks for sharing the big lad with us.
