An essential basic tool for any kind of electrical/ICE maintainence
There are often questions posted here about electrical connections etc and it seems that some owners do not have the most basic of electrical test tools i.e. a multimeter.
For those who don't know, a multimeter is used to check voltage, current and resistance. It can also be used for checking diodes, transistors but lets not confuse the issue . It is simple to use and you can practice on small batteries, bulbs etc before you tackle your car. Before you should even THINK about any wiring work, ICE installation etc, this item is essential. There is currently a BOGOF at Maplin: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...eter&doy=16m11 £5.99 - plus delivery if there is no store near you. It could cost a lot more if you connect a new HU the wrong way. Hope this may be of help to someone

I had already posted this on another thread, I have what was it's predecessor and have been using it for years. Very useful and cheap piece of kit

When did these things get so reasonably priced?
I seem to remember when I embarked on my electromechanical engineering degree a mere 9 years ago, that they cost about ten times that. Would've been handy to have owned one.
