Suggested to be 16Mb

No, but it runs WinCE and there is suggested to be a USB connection on the CPU PCB.

Likely Yes.

a - see above; b - don't know, but I suspect not. The bluetooth works for handsfree and for playing music from the phone, which probably means it only connects to the ICE side of the DD.

The accessible USB port on the front only connects to the ICE side of the DD. There is reputedly a second USB port termination on the CPU PCB, assuming there is, I would expect it would support a dongle.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

In relation to the USB GPS board mod, this definitely worked on the earlier models. It gave you access to the WinCE side of the unit via USB.

However, I tried the mod on the newer board and it did not work. I didn't spend too time on it as I didn't want to brick the GPS board but just be aware that you would need to confirm it works on the newer units if its important to you.

I have done the USB mod on the satnav board (mark one unit) and can confirm that it does work. With a patch purchased HERE from Petrutms you can access the WinCe side with an iPhone style interface and this opens up the ability to play more media types than the original system permitted. This also supports WiFi for internet connection.

On the DD is WinCE v6 and you can get the unit as an alternative to boot into the OS, rather than the GPS.

The Rover is a completely different beast to the Lada, as in Can-bus controlled and an immobiliser system.
