But to be fair I was working along side the farther inlaw an he is 76

I hadn't got the heart to move him out the way so I could crack on. He seemed to be enjoying himself to much.

Having had grandkids for fortnight until yesterday, got up and decided to bite bullet and fit gold resistor, must say all my worrying about removing bumper was for nothing, came of very easy and went back on easy, now have slow speed fan, while car was up looked for tickover vibration source, result , only exhuast vibrating right next to 2 rubber supports, presume they need replacing.
ps, thanks for the how to's to all concerned.

Replaced the securing pins for the handbrake shoes, with Girling (?) type for a Fiesta/Escort, after driving with a disabled driver's side handbrake for two weeks.

Fiddly, but should be a more permanent job. The originals had pulled through the back plate, which is pretty solid, and definitely too good to replace.

not a one Suzublu, we were that busy we didnt even have time for a cuppa. you should have seen the "technical" gear we used, including a hot spanner, a 4ft long spike & a 14lb hammer that broke! the most stubborn balljoint i've ever seen.

I swore at mine this evening, she has just thrown 3 problems at me all within 2 hours.

1. I found water around expansion tank.
2. ABS light has come on and stayed on.
3. Number plate light is not working, even though power is going to it.
