I've never seen anything like it.
Very surprised there are not far more deaths

Terrifying sound on that clip. Impossible to imagine the shock to those involved. Tragic government mismanagement to leave that deadly pile of ammonium nitrate so close to a major city since 2014. Why even take it off the ship if it was dangerous? The blast was about 2.5 kilotons or around 1/8 of Hiroshima, so very significant. It also shows why nuclear weapons should all be dismantled, since the biggest one tested so far was 50 megatons (Russian), or around 20000x the tragic Beirut accident. It's nuts to consider that one day a sociopathic administration might aim such a weapon at a large population centre. There is no sane rationale to use such a weapon to solve any dispute. Back on topic, I'm sure many of us empathise with the plight of the people of Beirut at this time. Governments incompetence is potentially so dangerous to our health and welfare.
