Funnily enough, my first off samples were made with a join. It is actually to do with maximising material usage from the sheet. For some reason it works out slightly cheaper (and presumably significantly cheaper on high volume production) to make them with a join . Only pennies per seal probably, but over 300000 cars x 2 seals it would have mounted up.

But then there would have been the costs of rectifying water ingress damage which presumably no-one thought of!

Post New Seals

Hi Jeremy,

Can you pm me with your payment details as well.
I have a water in the boot. not from the light but through the seam directly above it so still have to remove the light to get to it

as I previously sealed them with silicon sealer, no chance of reusing them.

Graham

An update for everyone.

Apologies, I've been offline for a while because my wifes cancer situation has taken a turn for the worse.

The new batch of seals should be available tomorrow 24-10-13, and I will reply to everyone who has requested a set (hopefully) on Friday.
