Nufenen Pass, Switzerland in the 75 CDT (Youtube link)
A wee video of us going up over the Nufenen Pass in the 75 CDT in July ...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2eZjbaN4GY This after trying to upload the thing several times with varying degrees of "copyright infringement" audio causing Youtube to mute the whole thing. Eventually used some of my old band's recordings, and some music by Ed Poole, bass player extraordinaire over at the Celica Club. Hope someone enjoys it. Dialogue is half English half Hungarian, cos my girlfriend's from there - the bairn is bilingual. Angus Last edited by Dragrad; 8th September 2010 at 20:19.. Well done, great scenery and now looking forward to the next part.
I see you are up in New Deer Aberdeenshire, a nice part of the world. I lived just on the outskirts of Aberdeen for 10 years, and had some good runs throughout the area when I had Triumph 2000s and 2.5 PIs. Hope the 75 has settled down again to its local work following your great European tour. Regards, Telfer. |

Thanks! The next part of the trip was from the Italian border down to Pisa - might post that up if it's any interesting (lots of motorway and going through tunnels every 30 seconds or so ). At least the bairn wasn't going "Are we in Italy yet" every 5 seconds by that time.
The bit before that one, going up the Furka Pass, might be better. Already got that vid edited, though I'd have to change all the music on it before Youtube would accept it. My Dad had a Triumph 2000TC (BR Green), and also a selection of Rover 2000s and 3.5 V8s. Lovely stuff. Our 75 is up for its MoT in the next couple of weeks, so fingers crossed on that one ... Angus |

Hi Angus,
Thanks for posting this. I was living in Switzerland in 1985 and done some of those lovely scenery roads back then with a friend in his 525i BMW. I always promised myself I'd do them again someday with a proper car and with my family . Hope you had good times

Fantastic!!! Thanks for sharing.
Next years holiday is Lake Garda, we're taking the mighty tourer and the teardrop trailer. Hope to enjoy some of these roads and amazing scenery too. After all, getting there is half the fun Looking forward to the next episode now. |
