Some more photos, if you are interested!
Dinky Shado 2 from UFO (complete with two rockets which still launch!) Dinky Chieftain Tank (again, still has one working missile) Corgi Mangusta De Tomaso (with detachable chassis) Dinky Ferrari 312-B Corgi Chevrolet Camaro (removable roof, and slidey bits over the headlights!) Dinky Cadillac (RCMP or Firemen inside?) Dinky NSU RO80 (Quite chuffed with this. It has a battery compartment underneath and when you press down on the wheels, the headlights and brake lights are supposed to light up - Pic 1 as is, and Pic 2, with the headlights working after all these years!!) Working headlights! Ancient Dinky Land Rover (tiny!) 2 x Corgi Hillman Hunter (with one kangaroo!) Schuco Opel Commodore (hoping this one is worth a bit!) Matchbox Racing Car Transporter (this seems to be quite old) Corgi Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (removable roof panels and pop up lights) Corgi Ford Mustang Mach 1 (from James Bond Diamonds Are Forever) Corgi Holmes Wrecker And finally, Clarence the Cross-Eyed Lion from Daktari He came with a set, but proud of him as he still has his glasses (and all the ones I have seen on eBay haven't!)

Thats a great find you have there.
I think I will have to go through all mine one day, I have five large boxes worth of my old corgi and matchbox vehicles plus my Tonka collection from the 70's. I also have over 100 Subuteo teams that date back from the 60's, I think I'm sitting on a gold mine but I don't really want to get rid or anything yet. |

Shot all of mine up with .22 rifle....... after my younger brother destroyed my Airfix aeroplanes .. no way was he inheriting the rest of my toys.... (Aged 12). - Siblings huh!!
Recognise a lot there (post 1) that I had, with hindsight, wish I'd never taken them out of their boxes Some of them, in their boxes are now worth hundreds of pounds. The learner driver car - the one with the big "wheel" on the roof in red was sold a few years back for £230. (In it's box)........

I also have an Interceptor, but one leg is hanging on by a thread and there's no missile! :-( Having said that, the leg is probably fixable and I might be able to buy a secondhand missile......

We have two of these. Sadly, the other was the victim of some enthusiastic childish DIY, and now sports a coat of gloss white paint! Wonder if there's any way of getting it off...?

Once a model has been touched they are worthless really. The original box is about 50% of the value. An immaculate model, untouched, without the box is 50% of the highest book price. Lightly chipped ones without the box are about 20-30% of book. Of course the rare ones will make money in nearly any condition. The driving School models with wheel on the top were made in LHD and RHD versions. The LHD one is slightly rarer. I´ve got both in good nick but without boxes so about 30% of book price. At the other end, I´ve got a Triumph 2000 Dinky with nice original box (an history - one precious owner) It´s a very rare version done by Dinky for Triumph as a promotion. Non standard colours. The car should be white with blue top. Mine is a mucky ochre/brown colour with pale green roof. Was given to the old guy I bought it off when he bought the real car in 1968 (I think). The Spot On models are well liked as the factory in Belfast burned down around 1969 and was never built up again. Very detailed they were. I´ve got a Jag 420 of theirs mint in it´s box. An Amazon aswell (with opening sun roof)

Next time I'll be in Beirut (at my parents' place), I'll take some snaps of my cars there and post them on this thread. I used to have lots of Matchbox cars too and Tamiya ones too
