The album Burn is one of my faves. Perhaps not the classic line up but great stuff.
Shame Mr Blackmore was so full of himself...

keeps changing from year to year almost, I have the album " Purple Rainbows",which contains a family tree in the inlay cover,a mixture of Black sabbath,Dio,Rainbow ,Whitesnake, Gillan, not to mention some I've never heard of.

Personally, I don't miss Blackmore, but Jon Lord is a real miss. Don Airey has a good pedigree, though

just looked at the "family tree" I mentioned before, the album was released in 1991,so things have likely changed several times since then, the line up was Jon Lord kb Ian Paice d roger Glover b Blackmore lg joe Lynn Turner voice. The original Purple were; Rod Evans vNick Simper b Jon Lord kb Ian Paice d and Ritchie Blackmore lg,that wasMarch 68 to July69. From July69 toJune73,Ian Gillan was on vocals,June73toMay75,Glenn Hughes was on bass, and David Coverdale vocals,June 75 to March76 as before, but with Tommy Bolin on guitar.
