The budget in March
Thinking of the March budget, looking around at the news, stamp duty could be scrapped on homes below £500,000. That is awfully high but a saving of £15,000 in England and Northern Ireland, £17,400 in Wales and £23,350 in Scotland.
I wonder what will be taxed more to cover the loss. macafee2 |

Seen a couple of suggestions along the lines of the ‘fuel duty escalator’ freeze being scrapped.
This has the advantage (from the Governments point of view) of a couple of things. 1 - Raises more duty (tax) by the increase in price of Petrol/Diesel. 2 - They can claim that it is a ‘Green Tax’ so giving a nod to the environmentalists Interesting to see if something along those lines materialises. |
