Default Driver's door handle broken

Hi everyone,

I came off the motorway today, looked back at my driver's door handle and saw this:

Now the handle doesn't work at all from the outside, although still works totally normally from the inside. Can anyone please tell me how to fix?

Thanks!

Hi Ashley
You will need to get a new door lock part, make sure the tabs on it have not been broken, it will then be door card off, spring clip pulled back insert the new door lock key part, push the clip back in this will hold the part to the door.

You will then maybe have to re-set the rod inside the door as it may have been pulled from the plastic section.

I do not know how this as just fell off, it may have been forced off maybe someone trying to gain access to your car.

Try pushing the door handle that is left toward the front of the car and open the door as it may have been dislodged.

PS we have a nano coming up I am sure someone, could help you with this if you have not solved it by then 18th 19th March.
