The ABI was great and the ZT didn't even know it was there. The Bailey is heavier and longer and I don't really enjoy towing it. It will soon be for sale.

[QUOTE=Roverowner;712856]A folder, very nice. always like the enginuity of the caravan manufacturers

Took a fair while to get the folder searched a good while then one came up about 5 miles away.

Much research was done before hand and was set on the hard top folder after the legs are down it only takes 1 person 10 mins to get it to the stake in the pic all fully erected.

I have the old brochure in pdf on the imac infront of me... its a 1994 model.
Folders were and are big in the states and uk but never really took off in Europe.

The tow car towing info report has my 5th gear top speed with the camper on at 93mph.

Thats for the standard 114/116 standard bhp mines actually 155bhp...

French and Dutch quite like folders though. Didn´t really catch on up here in the north. Don´t know anything about Conways although I have seen a few on UK sights over the years. Nice van. Not sure the plod would take kindly to you admitting the -speed- thing. I´ve seen a van take ablow out on the motorway when it was doing about 70. Car and van turned over puting the couple in the car in intensive care. So take care

Oh yeah,, im not saying thats the speed i would do, just saying thats what the site says its capable of....

I know someone in a Daimler super 8 that had to put the boot it when a mercedes sprinter lost a wheel and cartwheeled flattened the rear quarter on the daimler but could easy have been them flat..

We had a conway trailer tent before the folder.

Inside the folder...

Sorry, didn´t see your post

As far as I can see there are 2 types of -caravanner- Those that like a nice big van so they can park up on their favourite spot every year and use it as a summer cottage. And again those who like to tour and like the idea of compactness and ease of travel. We´ve always liked the samll vans because you can get around nearly as well as with just the car. Easy to park up and set up. A day or so looking around the area and then off again without much fuss. People do this alot with mobile homes but I like the small van just because you can dump it off easily and then explore in the car. The mobile home you have to take with you just everywhere, which can be a bind, especially in cities, on the beach. Still again I suppose it´s what your prefferences are
