Zero tax.
If diesel cars are bad for the environment, then why is my recent purchased Renault Captur 1'5 diesel zero tax. Not complaining just curious.

Hot in pursuit of this truth vacuum there is now a massively publicised tree- huggi...no, must be respectful, tree-planting exercise happening with scant regard for evidence of possible success.
Millions of trees are to be planted all over this green and pleasant land to rebalance the hugely damaging deficit caused by deforestation of Africa and South America. Millions and millions of trees are required across the UK if there is to be any chance of achieving the aims but there is a major problem which doesn't seem to be considered. Quite apart from convincing all the rest of the world to emulate our global conscience, this country is to be a leader in taking on this cloak of mock respectability. Most of the open land in this country is in private ownership! Just how do the activists propose to convince the owners of magnificent Capability Browne landscaping, and our hugely successful agricultural industry, and ignoring the housing shortage, that there is a good reason to allow their fashionable heresies to proceed? Compulsory Purchase? Like that other loss leader - HS2? Or gentle appeals to their better nature? It's just about get-real time, before we are carried away by the responsibility-free fanatics.

If you have not planted/already have enough trees they will propose yet another tax

Now that is a coincidence, coming back from shopping today. Traffic holdup on the A465 as a large tree had come down, blocking 2 of the 3 lanes.
