well, mine took about 2 years lol.

but taking the discs and pads off to paint the calipers, took roughly 15 mins per side, in saying that, none of the bolts were seized (only 10 per side including the wheel bolts). With this car, the trick I have discovered, has been to make sure I have the correct sized tools, and not to try using 'close enough' fit tools, I have had to in the past.

You’re thinking discs, the OP is asking about back plates which I doubt they can supply

Believe me, you are certainly paying for the labour, it is just hidden in the parts costs. I was charged £50 Inc vat for the discs by my indie, pads are even less.

Exactly, there’s nothing for nothing in this world apart from the illusion you’re getting it lol

Default I use them regularly....

I use my branch of National Tyres on a regular basis, while he was on the phone getting prices I heard exactly the prices he was being quoted for parts and it did not differ from what I was charged......

They are quoted retail prices and have discount scales in place .Been in the trade 40plus years. If you are happy with what you paid then so be it.

Please shop around, for your own pocket as much as anything. The discs I bought for mine were not standard but even they were around £100 (front and rear set were 234 all in) with genuine mintex pads. On eBay allegedly genuine mintex pads and discs are £41 from a seller based in Manchester.

I believe it is illegal in Germany to say "Free fitting" , because it patently isn't! "Inclusive of fitting" is OK

I should add though to this, that most garages now do not or will not fit supplied parts, due to potential loss if a sub standard part is supplied.
