Steering wheel controls
Is there a how to guide to get the steering wheel controls working with a Navall Star ? I've fitted one to a facelift 54 plate 75 but not sure what I need to do for the steering wheel controls.
I believe I need an additional patch lead for this to work...any links would be grateful. Thanks Keith

See my reply to Rev Jules on his similarly titled thread just below this one.
Should just plug straight into the back of the Star unless you have the IR controls? |

I will have to have a look at back of unit, the two multi plugs are connected but that left one plug remaining which I presumed was for the steering control

From memory when I've installed the naval/android units, the steering wheel controls wires you need on the car's head unit loom are on a plug which is made up of 3 coloured blocks, yellow green and blue. There's only 2 wires going to that block, from memory the wire colours are blue/orange blue/purple.
On the naval's wiring kit you should see one wire labelled Key1 and another Labelled Earth. You'll need to connect the Blue/Orange and Blue/Purple wires to these, doesn't matter which way round you connect the wires. |
