Ordered mine 23/11/18, RM put note through today that sender had not paid enough shipping and tax, £11 charge to collect item from RM depot. I paid .57p shipping insurance and .43p tax insurance. Is the RM fee correct, how does the insurance work, or do I take it on the chin and get on with it. Anyone else get stung by RM charge?

Shipping insurance is usually to cover lost, stolen or damage etc.

The £11.00 charge sounds like a £8.00 RM handling charge and £3.00 underpaid postage charge (total £11.00). If you paid for Duty and Tax insurance, you may be able to claim your £11.00 RM fee back from LITB. Just login to your LITB account and open a ticket, make sure you select 'Custom Duty Issue' and upload a copy of the RM £11.00 invoice fee to pay card.

I've had two successful claims before, I was reimbursed within 3 days.

Yep that's all... You should be fine, make sure you enter £11.00 in the charge amount box, they'll either pay you the full £11.00, or £8.00...

I'm also still waiting... Seems to be taking longer than usual, tracking shows my parcel has just cleared customs in Sweden.

As above, if you get charged just open a ticket to claim back the fee's. As long as you paid the small less than 50p duty and Tax insurance that is...

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The charges that you see are taxes that have been levied by the customs agency of the country you are residing in; and therefore, we do not receive any part of this money. We are unable to estimate customs duties during your ordering process as duties vary per country and they are not always enforced. The good news is that you paid for the Insurance for Duty & Tax of this order. As long as you'd like to pay the tax to receive the order, we'll refund FULL Tax Fee to you according to the insurance plan. Please pay the tax first and reply to us with a copy of the invoice. Upon receipt, we will proceed to process your refund. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to your reply. Sincerely, Anshul lightinthebox.com Customer Service

Above is reply from my ticket. If I pay on line for re-delivery will I get an invoice for charges that I can upload. Or would it be best to collect from post office and ask them to provide my a receipt ?

Bit of a pain but it's still cheap, 1st time I've been stung for charges.

I have just checked my tracking number and my parcel is at my local RM sorting office being held. It states fee's need to be paid and a calling card has been left, but I've not received a calling card, not sure how to deal with this one.

I've never used the RM online service, but it would seem the RM calling card isn't evidence of payment has been made, so a paid invoice is needed I guest. Its a lot more simple when using DHL and UPS, the invoice is presented at the door with the goods.

I would imagine paying RM online should produce an email invoice, try going through the prompts and see if you are ask to enter an email address, let us know how you get on.
