Why not get a template made up , that way you can correct any mistakes and get them looking how you want , then etch the outside of the lenses so it shows up as a matt finish.

I was going to suggest a lens sticker of clear and some sort of translucent red in the shape of the union jack.

I see your point, not the real deal by any means but red white and blue is definitely a big no no on rear lights.
On the mini I think they look pretty cool, on my 75 I would like them more subtle than that. I'm leaning towards using a template of the flag then masking the pattern on the lens then using some of that red tinting lacquer so the flag would be just visible and last step would be to clear coat the lens when happy with the pattern. As soon as I find a pair of rear lenses I think i'll have a go at it just to satisfy my curiosity as to whether the outcome is how it looks in my vision. |
