Default Need a lot of help here.. Should i buy this non runner to strip???

Right i have a chance at an MG that is a non runner as it needs a new engine.. Overall the car has seen better days but it has one or two cool extras. It has the special headlight's Zenons or Projectors cant remember the name (one of which has a broken clip that could be repaired). It also has power folds one of which needs some work. It has a half leather interior (which would clean up ok). It also has a dimming mirror and reversing sensors. And one of two other little bits and pieces. Now should i go for it, I have offered the guy £100 for the bits (is that fair) and he will let me know on Sunday. Should i offer more, what am i likely to get for the extras and what should be my top bid bearing in mind it has no engine and the body work has ssen better days. Any help would be great thanks..

Ross to be honest the bits alone are proberly worth more than that, and he could weight it in for more,so if you can get it for that go for it

Why not take the bits off you want and do a deal as its only worth £200 scrap. If you get what you want for £100 and he gets the scrap value you both win and its fair both ways.

To give you an idea, just on a year ago, I bought a 1999 75 CDT with a hydraulic'd engine for £300 as it was the right colour for me to take some panels off for my tourer.

I've stripped other parts off, and am still slowly stripping it (not a quick thing to do on the drive).

So if I was you, and you are able to get the car for a couple of hundred or less, then go for it.

I'd say about £150, then after you take off the bits you want, and weigh it in,you should still get most of your money back

I was thinking more like 150/200 tops for the full car, least by the time you take off the bits it should still weigh in at £100 or just over??

All I can say bud is go for it.
As said take what you want off it & weigh it in.
Price wise for the lot I'd say about the £200 mark.
