To put this into perspective, although it varies with conditions, the expansion ratio of water to steam is around 1:1700.

So for one bucket of water you can get 1700 buckets of steam. Again depending on the atmospheric conditions, you can see a fair amount of water vapour coming out of the exhaust pipe.

Tomorrow ( Saturday ) the weather forecast looks quite promising so it's going to be an oil, air and fuel filter change and if the car is nice and dry it may also have a polish as well. I'm quite looking forward to it ,because the last few weekends have been dreadful.
I hate this time of the year as for cars are concerned, Its frustrating when you can't keep your your car looking good because of all the salt / mud on the roads.

I changed the 17" serpent alloys with the low profile tyres for the set of 15" Contour alloys I bought the other day this morning & WOW! what a difference in ride comfort. It feels so much smoother & the steering is a lot lighter too.

The car sits noticeably higher now, It was bottoming out on the speed bumps around my area & scraping the exhaust.

The only fly in the ointment is I found a small patch around the rear N/S jacking point that's going to need welding

Well I assembled the ZT strut after cleaning and regreasing the strut top bearing.

Everything went nice and smoothly, so after refitting the drop link, I proceeded to refit the new leg to the car.

All went nicely until it came to torquing up the pinch bolt, I wasn't happy with the "feel" of things, ie the bolt felt as if it was being pulled into yield.

So as I don't have a spare bolt to hand, I shall have to wait until Monday to get a couple of replacements.

The car does look much better than it did on Sunday however with it's three part nearside spring, and at least I know when I fit the new offside spring, nothing will be seized as the temporary spring I fitted to that side has only been in place for four weeks

I like my Crowns but the Serpents do look lovely. I've seen some on a 75 being scrapped funnily enough.
