Default Meteor Alloy Centre Caps

Finally got around to having my new Meteor alloys fitted today. Unfortunately, the new centre caps I got from Rimmer bros to go with them seem to be a very loose fit - something is definatly amiss.

Does anyone here know the correct part no for the Meteor alloy centre caps? I suspect I may have the wrong ones (alhough Rimmers did say they should fit the Meteors).

Regards,

Cliff

Hmmm - answering myself here - first sign of madness!

I found an earlier thread that suggested part no RRJ100150MNH. I have just checked mine and they are stamped RRJ100100XXX. Does this mean I have the wrong ones I wonder? They are the right diameter and colour, and look just like these: Piccy but are so loose I can pull them off with my fingers!!

Centre caps have different applications, (different cars as well as wheels) are there any other part numbers on the back ?

RRJ100100 MNH is listed as

Cap assembly-centre alloy wheel - 6.5J x 16, Silver Sparkle

The last 3 characters are the paint code

RRJ100150MNH is listed as

Cap assembly-centre alloy wheel - Silver Sparkle, 7.0 x 17

Thanks Greeners, that would seem to confirm that I have the wrong centres, as my alloys are 17 inch.

Damn!

Rimmers don't list any stock on their web site, but a number of dealers on "ThePart" appear to have them

Many thanks to Greeners for pointing me in the right direction. I now have a set of alloy centre caps that fit properly .

Bad news is, the caps cost £105 - the alloy wheels themselves only cost £175 . Still, at least things are sorted.

Thanks again,

Cliff

And at least you have a set of spare caps that fit Union alloys - should have no problem in selling them
