Hi,thanks fellas, done all those, being a V8 and rear wheel drive I presume the hubs are different, new bearing pressed in using a local garage press, wish I knew they had one earlier after spending so much time getting the old seized one out, took me two days to get the hub nut off,it was seized on also so I had to drill it out.New bearing and sensor I got from DMGRS,have taken it for a few miles hoping it would reset like on my previous V6,but no,tried a different used sensor, still no,have ordered another but generic front sensor as a last resort to test on a run.Have checked all wiring, fuses.Last resort will be to take it for a long run tomorrow.Regards Ry...

does the 260 talk at all to the R75 protocol ? would you would need to clear the existing fault light first, if it has been logged on permanantly ? you would need to see if it is throwing up a new fault after clearing down the old ones anyway. do you have a code reader to remove the old faults and start afresh. i suppose you have checked all connections , and i dont know if the control unit is in the same place as the 75 but corrosion can occur at the plugs there , so im told. as you are aware, there are posts on how to check the current voltages pre and post reluctor readings. i dont suppose a battery reset would help , but you never know. hope it is an easy fix for you ry. ..

I got my ZT-T out to my first Cars and Coffee in almost 3 years yesterday.
It was cloudy here in Vancouver but dry. The clouds kept most of the exotic car owners (Lambo, Ferrari etc) away, but the Porsche and Lotus clubs were out in strength. My ZT-T and a Zetec engined BGT were the only MGs but we got a lot of interest. One English guy commented, "I NEVER expected to see one of those here!" To top it all off the ZT ran like a top on the 90km round trip. All in all a good day!

Yesterday while out doing the food shopping opened tailgate on my tourer and there was a strange noise..... the nearside tailgate gas strut had come away from the ball joint. forcing the ball joint, inward at an angle... i noticed a previous repair attempt had been carried out.
So today, after reading up on Arctic's mod using screwfix jointing plates last night (Thanx to Arctic & all others for their info/input on the "how to.."), I have fitted this strengthening mod, so all is good again. It appears the offside gas strut has had some sort of mod previously which looks substantial enough to leave at present. Someone had put silicone on both, I assume to prevent any future corrosion. Decided to clean the wheels properly, by taking them off the car, and that led to even more work, found drop link needed changing, only like to do them in pairs, had a good run i think 4.5 years so can not grumble.
Then when i got to the rear wheels found one spring broken so another job to sort out this week coming. always like to take the wheels off once a month to clean them properly and inspect discs, pads etc. 1 2 3 4 5

Nothing wrong with that, I bought mine 11 months ago and still find it impossible to walk past it without looking at it! To make it even harder, I had it professionally valeted and polished on Friday, so it's looking better than ever (even if I did have to spend a good 50 minutes taking off the excess polish that they had left behind...).

Been giving the tank a few runs over the past few days to check fuel economy to see if the new O2 sensor is working. I think it is though, because I've gone from roughly 19mpg to 25.2.
Hoping that by replacing the bad knock sensor it'll improve even more.
