Very nice to hear that the car is being saved, and the root cause identified. There was little doubt at the time that the inlet manifold gasket had failed, perhaps a combination of failures. However it seems that the car is now in capable hands.

Ok, insvestigating the engine closer i did not find any cracks in the liner.
What i found was corrosion build up on the wedge the liner stays on. Corrosion has forced the liner upwards causing possible coolant leak, also i found that the oilscraper rings on piston 2 missed the spacer, this could explain extra oil consumption
